Brother James Reedy has traveled deep into Myanmar several times with “BaGyi” Bob DeWitt. He has a passion for the Myanmar people and has surrendered his life to serve them and GLBM. Jim heard the Gospel of Christ and was saved as a boy through the bus ministry of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown, North Carolina. After high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served for almost ten years. Following military service he and his wife, Alicia, were living in Elmira, New York when Pastor Richard Hack’s son, Nathan, drowned in the Chemung River. That single tragedy so profoundly affected Jim and Alicia, that she was gloriously saved and Jim rededicated his life to the Lord. Having no biological children of their own, Jim and Alicia have adopted six wonderful special needs children. Jim has a true servant’s heart and loves the Lord’s work and, like “BaGyi Bob,” a good adventure.
